Art as Protest – Throughout history, writing, music and art have been used to protest and resist the conditions the artists found themselves in. This year, middle school students will learn about and create art inspired by movements like the Harlem Renaissance, the Federal Theatre Project, the Earth First protests and more, as well as making connections to today.
